London

Padme and I are both ok, I don't know about any other Brits who post on here though.

London is a great city with a great spirit and we will not be defeated by cowards, we will pick ourselves up as we have always done and continue with our everyday lives. We will not give these extremists the satisfaction of disrupting the city as they intended. They are cowards who haven't the courage to fight properly, instead they have to kill and injure innocent people. Men, women, children, black, white, Christian, Jew and Muslim. These extremists are not targeting one group of people they are just ruthless killers and it is sickening. I praise the emergency services for the brilliant work they did, the transport for London authority for using their busses to treat wounded and evacuate people to hospital then promptly resuming near normal service, and also the salvation army and other charities who helped although were not in the spotlight as the others, It is people like this who were back bone of the whole operation and make us what we are. A truly great nation.

As Mr Blair said "It is a very sad day for the British people but we will hold true to the British way of life."

Glad to hear you're OK, Caz.

It is a terrible time. :-(
My respects to all those bereaved, or otherwise hurt by these senseless attacks.

yeah I was realy shocked, I was supposed to be going to london yesterday to sort out my visa for NZ and would have been on the Piccadilly line around the time that it happend, decided not to go in the morning because of the weather. I feel realy sorry for anyone who was hurt or killed and their families. we all knew It would happen it was just a case of when. Its strange though because 2 days ago we were pulling together as a country because we had won the olympic bid and yesterday it was because someone thought it would be quite nice to bomb the capital. I can't get it into words what I feel, its kinda a mixture of hatered, sympathy, anger and shock. I am realy proud though of the stiff upper lip factor which we showed in WW2 pop up again, it just shows that were not weak and whatever they throw at us we can get on with our lives at not let the attack create panic and chaos. Ok am starting to rant now ^_^ I am so glad that the bombs did not kill more people.

Good to hear all is OK.

My family and I were just in London on holiday at the beginning of June and became quite familar with the tube. Went through, or actually stopped at many of the affected stations. It was kind of surreal to see the whole thing unfold on TV here in the states.

Our sympathies to all affected.

I'm relieved to hear you're ok. We were worried aobut you.

It there's one thing the English proved during World War II, is that they are a tough, resilient, brave group of survivors. My heart goes out to those who lost loved ones in those bombings.

Caz, dear, I'm glad to hear you and yours are alright.
It boggles the mind. There are horrid natural disasters, that kill and injure thousands. But for someone to plan and execute an action to not only cause terror, but grief, pain, and suffering, I can't fathom it.
I have no doubt that the people of London, as well as the whole of Britain, will strengthen from this.
If you strike me down, I will become more powerful that you could ever imagine.
Well wishes and love,
Rebecca

ya glad that you are ok, i was watching about the attack before my exam yesterday it was funny (no offense intended) now it changed names from explosion to terrorist attack over a few hours you'd think that they could tell what it was rather soon with something that severe

If you say streight away that it was a terrorist attack then people are going to panic unecsseraly and that will cause more problems than just saying they arnt sure what caused the explosion.
It makes sense after all, we did practice for this type of attack and work out the best method of dealing with it.
