Everyone okay?

Normally, I wouldn't clog this place up, but with Katrina wrecking havoc all over the eastern seaboard, I wanted to make sure everyone was safe and sound. If you're in one of the danger areas, or have loved ones who are, my thoughts and good wishes are with you.

I think the only person any where near the general area of the hurricane was Ari/Shaak Ti, who lives on the Florida panhandle.

I'll email him to make sure.

Some others of us live in Florida, but I think we were all pretty far away from landfall, as it was mostly in Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi.

I have a cousin who lives in Misissippi, but he was up here when it happened. He all right, but he hasn't heard from his girlfriend yet.

Actually, I happen to live in Louisiana, but was fortunate enough to skate any damage. I live just north of Baton Rouge, and although we weren't hit bad, we do have a lot of people from New Orleans and the surrounding areas taking shelter here. In fact, due to the lack of hotels, etc., people have had to drive as far north as Oklahoma City and as far west as Houston just to find lodgings. I will say that it is an absolute mess out here and it's doubtfull that New Orleans will recover any time soon.

I know what's being reported on the news, but the real story is the complete anarchy in New Orleans. Two cops have been shot and several looters have been killed so far... the news is only reporting just one. I happen to be in law enforcement(don't everyone hate me at once)so I kind of get the inside scoop.

If anyone has any family or friends that may live in the area hit by the storm and need help locating them, in all seriousness, please let me know, and I promise that I'll do what I can to help.

My thoughts exactly, Grievous.

Don't you care about anyone but yourself Owen.

I have been watching footage of Katrina and it's looks really bad. They say it might take months to get the state back in order. The whole contry is affected by this. Just look at gas and oil prices.

It's cool how people can set up fundraisers so quickly. It's like when there's a hole somewhere, help comes from everywhere else and fills it up. Any reply from Ari?

Um. What was that about?

I appreciate you guys. Just to let every one know the former residents of New Orleans are quickly piling into larger cities like Baton Rouge and Shreveport. And, can you believe it, there are actually small groups of people beginning to loot and riot in these cities, as well. It angers the hell out of me to one extent, but, if everything I had vanished in a mere hour and I literally had nothing, I think I might be a little hacked, too. Not that that is any kind of excuse for their behavior, though. This is simply the beginning. Truth is, without any power , food , or water in the near future, you can count on things getting worse as time goes by. Louisiana's in for a hard ride. I'll keep everyone posted if they want.
