The Beast

I am sure that you have all seen the trailers for the X3 movie. I saw the latest one when I went to see King Kong the other day.

I did not realize that Kelsey Grammar is playing The Beast. Now that I look at this still, I can see it.

It isn't due out until June.

Wow, strange casting. The makeup looks good, though.

I thought he was a good choice when I first heard he was going to play the Beast. In the book and cartoons the Beast is intellectual to the point of being aristocratic (Hello, Frazier Crane).

Though I think in the very early X-Men comics he was far less intellectual than he is portrayed now.

The previews for this look good, too. Lot's of new (to the movies) characters being brought on to the scene.

I have no idea what the Beast is like in the comics now. I recall he was very erudite, but he'd do crass things like scratch his head with his foot while at a restaurant.

He was also a big ladies man, which never made any sense since he basically looks like a blue demon. :)

he basically looks like a blue demon everyone has their own tastes in a date, I suppose :)

I'd love to see them make the movie Beast like the Beast in the comics, namely very flexible, and prone to hanging upside down while reading, but I doubt it'll be done.

I'm excited for the Angel & Psylocke characters.
